Barry has experience teaching all percussion instruments, such as:
Drum Set, Snare Drum, Mallet Percussion, Timpani, & Hand Drumming
Mr. James focuses on providing a curriculum that is tailored to
each student’s individual goals and development needs. He will
work with each student to discover their interests, such as:
- Preparing to become a professional musician
- Improving their percussion skills for school band or ensemble
- Excelling at regional and state auditions and competitions
- Being accepted to college music programs
- Simply having music in their life by playing an instrument
Barry has been successful at helping students of all ages achieve
their goals. His students have earned awards at competitions,
attained entrance to college music programs, earned college
scholarships in music, and become professional musicians.
